Personally, I do think that public should have to follow anti- bias rules. I do not think that any person, place or thing has the right to discriminate against anyone else for how they choose to live their life. To be more specific, I do not think that clubs on college campuses should deny anyone entrance into their club for a reason such as sexual orientation. They have no right to judge someone that way. Living in the United States we have the freedom to live our lives the way we choose to and so by allowing people to turn away others that want to be members of their club would be going against what this country stands for. If the college does start allowing these clubs to deny people who want to become members this could lead to many more things that could be much worse. Soon, whole colleges could start denying prospective students admission into the whole college itself just because of a reason such as sexual orientation. Teachers could start refusing to teach students that are "different" if this issue is not handled correctly. We, as Americans, should not and have no right to judge in this way. Everyone deserves equal rights and equal opportunities. No one should be put down or feel bad about the way they choose to live their life. If we did not get these privileges and opportunities then there would be no individualism or uniqueness. We need to make sure that acceptance of these differences is something that never fades away.

I totally agree with you. I dont think aboybody should descriminate against anybody. If this were true everything would be like it is in the movies where only the "pretty" girls are allowed to join fraternities and the schools would have a lot more law suites then they probably already get!
ReplyDeletei agree. we should accept people as they are and accept the fact that we all have differences and we shouldn't condemn or be condemned because of those differences. besides, everybody's entitled to their own freedom whatever it may be.
ReplyDeleteI do agree with you but if clubs are allowed to deny some students admission to the club it could be good as long as they do it for the right reasons. i feel that clubs should be abled to deny students who the believe are going to start conflicts with in the club.
ReplyDeleteI agree that that no one should be denied acceptance in to a club based on sexual orientation or religious reasons. The school has the authority to put a stop to the bias group and their college name is at stake and should just handle the situation instead of letting it get this far and make the college look like a bias group. Well put, and I totally agree with your side.
